'New Times Roman' features the work of ten artists, exhibiting in the heritage city of Bath, for the first time together since graduating from University College Falmouth in 2008/09. Open daily 10 – 5. Local artist Peter Hempshall has produced a unique exhibition of artists that all graduated from University College Falmouth over the last 3 years, and in doing so has fulfilled a lifetime ambition. Since graduating in Fine Art at UCF in 2008 he has been working in a local restaurant and had promised himself that he would create an exhibition of his fellow contemporaries work before he turned 30. The exhibition is being staged at The Octagon, Milsom St, from January 25 to the 30, and is entitled "New Times Roman". It features 10 relatively unknown artists from the South, who work in a vast range of styles and media. Peter Hempshall has always wanted to draw attention to new artists and is hoping, if the show is a success, to go on and stage more exhibitions in Bath in the near future: "For new artists, gaining gallery recognition is often a struggle, so I am really excited to be able to promote this group of artists in such a historical setting and look forward to them receiving the attention that they deserve. In the future I want to open a gallery in the South West that will allow new artists their first opportunity to exhibit in a commercial setting."
