In Two Minds 6 - 18 November

Hans Borgonjon and Mark Morris
Artist/Sculptors

Milsom Place Bath has opened up an exciting exhibition space for Borgonjon and Morris to experiment with. Two very diverse techniques will be on show; Borgonjon through his ingenious and gravity defying use of large scale slip moulds to Morris’s slab built sculptures sliced with Perspex.

Borgonjon and Morris have a mutual academic background; both coming through the MA Ceramic Design course at Bath Spa University in recent years. Their exhibition will show contemporary abstract sculptures predominately in ceramics, which push the perceptual boundaries of this versatile material.

Borgonjon has recently been exhibiting in various countries from Belgium, Holland and closer to home at the Birmingham Royal Society. In November Borgonjon will be fresh out of Origins the craft councils flagship event in Somerset House, London. Morris has just finished a large group show at Ludlow Contemporary Art Open which had a strong line up of artists. Earlier in the year he took part in the prestigious Freshair 2009 at Quenington [Glos] which was a great success.
